GERSHWINS ART TEAM were part of the dynamic international show at this years Paul Mitchell, European The Gathering.
Take a room full of energy, eager stylists, inspiring hairdressing icons and a wealth of education to create the recipe for success for a truly exceptional Paul Mitchell® European The Gathering. For the first time ever in the U.K, over 1,000 enthusiastic individuals from the hairdressing industry joined together at The Hilton Metropole in Birmingham this October to discover inspiration and aspiration from Paul Mitchell® superstars John Paul DeJoria, Angus Mitchell, Robert Cromeans, Scott Cole, Linda Yodice, Stephanie Kocielski, Takashi Kitamura, the UK Platform Artist Club and Art Team. Becky Paginton, one of the Art Team members from Gershwins was greatly inspired by the energy and enthusiasm over the two day event, ‘…It was extremely hard work but so worthwhile, to be up on stage amongst the greats’, said Becky.
The experience started with a bang with a mind-blowing opening show. The artistic presentation; dedicated to the memory of the late Paul Mitchell and taking influence from many of his maverick techniques; included an intense ten hair cuts in ten minutes, leaving the audience in awe, whilst the dazzling dance routines created a perfect mood for the two day extravaganza. Excited to be back in the UK, the birthplace of Paul Mitchell, Global Artistic Director Robert Cromeans enthused “For 24 years I’ve been dying to do a show in my own country. Today is the day”. CEO and Co-founder John Paul DeJoria spoke of the history and values of the company and celebrated Paul’s life by reminding stylists that Paul Mitchell® is more than just a brand, and that Paul was also one of the greatest hairdressers ever to grace the stage, revolutionising the industry with his techniques and his products.

I felt very proud that so many of our Team were there to enjoy the spectacle and for our Gershwins ART Team to be working alongside those stars was a great privilege.
